Hanuama Bay

Originally we were scheduled to go snorkeling with a guide on the 10th. We booked that through Hawaiiactivities.com and the link is below. The guide would pick you up and take you a secluded area. But since the hurricane was going to hit on Sunday, we decided not to take the chance so we canceled and went on our own. The only thing I wish we would have seen was the turtles. We were afraid to venture to far out on our own but we were able to see a lot. We used the disposable water cameras and got these picures.

A post card from the gift shop.

Flowers along the way to the entrance

The beautiful bay!

The huku fish, the official fish of Hawaii!

The bay is a nature preserve and everyone has to watch a video on the importance of taking care of the bay. They did not have it when I was there in 2000. I think it is a good idea so that bay can be preserved for future generations.
